Meet Dr. Eli Layman
Veterinary medicine has been Dr. Eli Layman’s dream for as long as she can remember—literally since age 7, growing up in the shadow of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. That dream led her to Colorado State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Zoology (Cum Laude), a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences, and ultimately her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
During her 15 years as an associate veterinarian in Colorado, Dr. Layman gained experience across a wide range of medical areas, including internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, dermatology, preventive care, and pain management. But more than anything, she developed a passion for relationship-based care—both with her clients and her team.

After a family trip to the Carolinas sparked a big move, Dr. Layman and her husband put down roots in Greer, SC. It was here that she decided to turn her long-time dream of owning a practice into reality. Goldenrod Veterinary Hospital was born from her desire to create a clinic where compassion, professionalism, gratitude, and respect are lived out daily—not just for pets, but for the people who love them.
